New Wort Chiller - 2/26/2008
I ordered a new wort chiller from B3 (http://morebeer.com/). It is 50 feet of half inch copper with brass hose connectors. This chiller is designed for converted keg kettles. I got it for $98.95. This included the shipping from California to Delaware.
I was careless and put my old chiller away without making sure it was completely drained. The water froze and burst the copper. It was my original chiller from the extract days. 25 feet of 3/8 inch copper was not cutting it for 10 gallons of wort. The good news is that the break in the old chiller was six feet from the end. I can reform it into an 18 foot prechiller for use with a cooler full of ice.
